World Cup 2022 – Tips and Predictions
The World Cup usually makes for absorbing viewing. And you can expect the usual suspects to go deeper in the tournament, such as Germany. There were fewer teams more impressive than Die Mannschaft. Although they lost to North Macedonia three games in, they have won all seven matches they have played since Hansi Flick took charge. They have looked revitalised, and they scored 31 goals, and conceded just twice under his tutelage. Germany has an abundance of talent, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them contend, if not go all the way. You can get a tempting looking price of 9/1 with William Hill for Germany to lift the World Cup.
Similarly, France has a great blend of youth and experience in their squad, and all eyes will be on Kylian Mbappe. The Paris Saint-Germain striker may have been below par at Euro 2020, netting three times in nine matches, and he will be desperate to make a point. As mentioned, they are trading as joint favourites to successfully defend the title they won four years ago.
Meanwhile, England will be looking to go one better under Gareth Southgate in Qatar. After reaching the semi-finals in 2018, Southgate and his charges will have learned some valuable lessons, and they will be eager to make the Three Lions fans proud. In terms of Euro 2020, there were plenty of positives to take away, including the performances of Jack Grealish, Raheem Sterling, and Bukayo Saka.
