Triumph Hurdle Betting

It’s the only Grade One at the Festival for four-year-old runners and the top race in the jump racing calendar exclusively contested by juveniles. Nicky Henderson has enjoyed huge success in the race over the years, saddling the winner on seven occasions, most recently with Pentland Hills in 2019. This year’s favourite is Sir Gino, trained by the aforementioned Henderson, but with a massive concern over the stable’s runners this week, will he lineup?

Check out our Triumph Hurdle tips, odds and offers.

County Hurdle Betting

The first of two incredibly competitive handicap hurdle races to solve on the final day. This is a two-mile test, combining both jumping ability and speed, while you’ll need luck in running as we’ll have a maximum field of runners. The Gordon Elliott-trained King Of Kingsfield has been well supported this week - he was last seen chasing home Ballyburn and Slade Steel, both of whom have won this week.

Check out our County Hurdle tips, odds and offers.

Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle Betting

This is a staying hurdle race for novices at the start of their careers, and it’s typically a wide-open betting heat. Irish-trained horses have dominated the race in recent years, but Paul Nicholls did land it in 2023 with Stay Away Fay. The ‘potato race’ looks wide-open this year, with the market headed by the Willie Mullins-trained Readin Tommy Wrong. Will he give Mullins yet another Festival winner?

Check out our Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle tips.

Cheltenham Gold Cup Betting

The feature race of the entire meeting is a gruelling test of more than three miles. You need stamina, a high cruising speed, and exceptional jumping ability. It’s the Blue Riband event of National Hunt racing, with a winners list packed with legends of jump racing. Can Galopin Des Champs go back-to-back, or will a new name lift the greatest prize in jump racing?

Check out our Cheltenham Gold Cup tips.

Festival Hunters’ Chase Betting

Known as the ‘Amateurs Gold Cup’, this race is run immediately after the Cheltenham Gold Cup. Paul Nicholls has trained the winner of the race on four occasions, most recently with Pacha du Polder in 2018. Premier Magic won the race in 2023 under Bradley Gibbs, and that partnership are back this year, aiming to defend their crown.

Check out our Festival Hunters’ Chase tips, odds and offers.

Mares’ Chase Betting

A new race at the Festival, aiming to improve the mares’ program and keep them in training for longer. Being a chase contest, it is a test of jumping ability, with Irish-trained runners having won all three renewals. It would be no shock to see another winner for Ireland this year, with the betting dominated by runners from the Emerald Isle, including current favourite Dinoblue for owner JP McManus.

Check out our Liberthine Mares’ Chase tips and betting offers.

Martin Pipe Handicap Hurdle Betting

The final race of the 2024 Cheltenham Festival and a tough puzzle for punters to solve. This is a big field handicap for conditional jockeys and often one where we see at least a couple of big gambles on what could be well-handicapped runners. This year’s race looks like a wide-open betting contest with the cash coming this week for the Henry de Bromhead-trained Waterford Whispers - can he give Ireland another Festival winner?

Check out our Martin Pipe Handicap Hurdle tips.

Cheltenham Gold Cup Day Overview

The Festival’s final day is all about the Gold Cup - it is not only the feature race of the day but the feature race of the 2024 Cheltenham Festival.

Winners are held in high regard, and jockeys and trainers have all said in the past that the feeling of bringing a Gold Cup winner back into the packed winner’s enclosure at Cheltenham is something that cannot be replicated elsewhere.

First up is the Triumph Hurdle at 1:30pm where we will see some future stars of National Hunt racing, with this race kicking off our tips for Cheltenham.

The race immediately following the Gold Cup is the Festival Hunters’ Chase at 4:10pm, a race for amateur jockeys. Run over the same distance as the Gold Cup, it’s widely known as the ‘Amateur Gold Cup’, and it always provides a thrilling spectacle.

And the finale of the Cheltenham Festival is the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle, due to go off at 5:30pm.
