Kim Muir Chase Tips, Odds, Free Bets, Betting Offers & Preview
The Kim Muir Chase, better known as simply the ‘Kim Muir’, is one of the three opportunities for amateur jockeys to fulfil the dream of riding at the Cheltenham Festival.
But this three-mile two-furlong chase is a gruelling test for both horse and jockey and not an easy race to win. Nevertheless, there is likely to be a full field of 24 runners, and they could include a few Grand National hopefuls.

Kim Muir Chase Tips
When punters get to the end of day three, the final race on the card is certainly not an easy getting out stakes, and this race will take a lot of solving.
The Kim Muir tests horses over the same trip as the Gold Cup, and if the ground is tough after a day of racing, you will certainly need a horse with stamina to see out the trip.
And Charlie McCann has two big-priced fancies in the race - check them out below.
5.30pm Cheltenham - Dom of Mary (Each-Way) & Git Maker (Each-Way)
Four of the last five winners of the Kim Muir have been trained in Ireland, and there are many who think Inothewayyurthinkin is well-handicapped although he is stepping up in distance and carries the steadier of 12st.
My two against the field are British-trained, namely DOM OF MARY and GIT MAKER, and I cannot split the pair, although the latter must put behind a modest effort at Ascot last time when he jumped left on ground that may have been faster than ideal.
Git Maker is three out of four going left-handed over fences, and I like the booking of top amateur Will Biddick, who has never ridden the winner of this prestigious race for amateur jockeys.
Dom Of Mary won the Sussex National on his penultimate start and ran a cracker back down at 3m at Sandown last time and this additional couple of furlongs on softer ground is very much a plus. Finny Maguire is another eye-catching booking.
Kim Muir Chase Betting Odds
A race confined to amateur and conditional riders only, the Kim Muir Chase adds another factor for punters to consider when trying to pick the winner. The Gavin Cromwell-trained Inothewayurthinkin heads the betting market currently, with top amateur Derek O’Connor taking the ride, while Willie and Patrick Mullins team up with Chavez, who is bound to attract each-way support.
What Happened Last Year?
Angels Dawn won the 2023 Kim Muir Chase in a thrilling finish up the Cheltenham hill.
