Bayern Munich vs Arsenal Betting Tips and Free Bets

Arsenal travel to Munich on Wednesday knowing they need to pull off something special to advance to the Champions League semi-finals.

Mikel Arteta’s side were held to a 2-2 draw by Bayern Munich in the first leg at the Emirates last week, giving the German side the upper hand with home advantage but they are far from the force they used to be at the Allianz Arena.

The team at Freebets.com has put together their best tips ahead of the game as well as the latest football free bets and enhanced offers.

Bayern Munich vs Arsenal Match Preview

Despite a recent history of poor results against Bayern Munich, Arsenal would have been quietly confident after being drawn against the former German champions owing to a sustained period of poor form in 2024.

Thomas Tuchel’s side have already lost six games in 2024 and seen the Bundesliga title go to Bayer Leverkusen, but they turned the tables on Arsenal in London last week by going 2-1 ahead in the first half before eventually being pulled back to a 2-2 draw.

Arsenal’s lack of recent Champions League experience - particularly in the knockout stages - told as they were cut open in the first half, Serge Gnabry and Harry Kane getting on the scoresheet, but the weaknesses in the Bayern backline were exposed through the game.

The visitors in the second leg will be well aware that they have not won in Munich since 2013 and could potentially have some old scars from the 5-1 hammering they suffered in 2017, but will go into the game knowing they have the tools to come away with a place in the last four of the Champions League.

William Saliba and Gabriel were uncharacteristically loose in the first leg and if they can play to their usual level, Arsenal will be confident of keeping a dangerous Bayern attack at bay while their forwards will fancy causing problems going the other way.

It promises to be another entertaining tie with the experience of Bayern at this stage of the competition likely to count for a lot, but Arsenal at a key stage in their development where a game like this could go some way to showcasing their aptitude for such occasions.

Bayern Munich vs Arsenal Tips

We’re playing it relatively safe to start off with, with Bayern’s big-match experience tipped to prove too much for Arsenal who will put up a brave fight but ultimately be made to rue the two goals conceded at the Emirates.

It should be another entertaining game owing to the flaws of the two sides, but with Bayern’s firepower - led by Harry Kane - they should be confident of seeing off Arsenal on home territory.

Kane’s record against Arsenal is well known. He has 15 goals against them for Spurs and Bayern and given that he is on penalty-taking duties, he should get more opportunities to add to that on Wednesday.

Our second tip sees the two attacking midfielders go head-to-head, in what is likely to be one of the most eye-catching parts of the game.

Jamal Musiala has only shown glimpses at the highest level of what he is capable of, but he clearly has the ability to run rings around anyone and his battle with Declan Rice could be where the game is won or lost. He will be desperate to improve on his return of 13 goals for the season and deliver in a big game.

Kai Havertz meanwhile has turned his season around after attracting a lot of criticism early on following his move from Chelsea. He returns to Germany on a run of good form, and if he can find the space to run at the Bayern defence he should have plenty of joy.
