Cardiff v Swansea Match Preview
These two sides have flip-flopped in form all season, so previewing it is quite a hard one just because it is difficult to know what to expect from either side.
That said, South Wales derbies are always very fiercly contested and I think we will see just that in a Saturday lunchtime kick-off, so should we really be looking at the form books at all?
Cardiff are on a run of five games without defeat and beat Sheffield United 1-0 in the FA Cup so they have overcome a sticky period after initially flying under Omer Riza.
They started the season so badly that they are still deep into trouble, but I think they have shown they have enough about them to get out of trouble with the likes of Callum Robinson now back available after suspension.
I do think Swansea are undoubtedly the stronger of the two sides but they have struggled for goals all season despite performing well in other areas of the games - especially when it comes to underlying statistics.
There's is never much between the two sides in games like this, so I would be shocked if either side ran away with it. Expect it to be a very tight match.
I caught up with Sky Sports & BBC pundit and former Sheffield Wednesday striker Clinton Morrison ahead of the game to see what he thought.
Clinton Morrison on Cardiff v Swansea
All form goes out the window when you play in derby matches and you just get bragging rights, that's what it's all about.
I think Swansea probably - I know they have had a few bad results recently - but they're a team under Luke Williams who have been doing really well and playing good football, so you would probably expect them to be favourites because Cardiff have been struggling.
Cardiff have some good players and manager Omer Riza he did well when he was interim but the real test comes when you have the job permanently and have got to try and keep in the division.
All form goes out the window because it's all about just playing the occasion on the day and the fans getting behind you and it's going to be some atmosphere.
It is one I'm looking forward to watching, but I’m going for 2-1 to Swansea.
