Fury v Usyk Betting Tips & Predictions
Check out free tips for Saturday's huge clash between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.
Oleksandr Usyk to beat Tyson Fury
The bookies are once again struggling to split these two heavyweight, but we’ve now got 12 rounds of data to digest before making a prediction.
The first fight ebbed and flowed beautifully throughout the 36 minutes, but it was Usyk that grew into the contest and finished the much stronger after solving the puzzle of the “Gypsy King”.
Usyk proved in his rematch with Anthony Joshua that he is capable of learning lessons himself, adapting and getting better, and this is what we expect on Saturday.
Usyk is a smart, heavy-handed pressure-fighter who had Fury extremely hurt in the opening fight. His ability to swarm his opponent is unmatched in the division, and even if there are some testy moments, we’re going with repeat rather than revenge.
Oleksandr Usyk to score a knockdown
Usyk has a strong argument to suggest that Fury should have been stopped by the referee in the first fight, with the Briton’s history of bravery and the ropes keeping him in the fight.
Usyk is a proud man, and if he can find an opening to get the stoppage this time around, then expect him to turn the screw more than seven months ago.
Fury took a lot of damage across the 12 rounds that they shared in May and it’s yet to be seen how his body has reacted to it through another gruelling three month training camp.
Oleksandr Usyk to be knocked down and win the fight
You can’t go swimming without getting wet, and Fury is more than capable of hurting Usyk in this fight even if he is losing rounds.
Usyk is a little soft to the stomach as has been demonstrated in recent fights, and if the Briton is able to target the solar plexus of the “Cat” early in the fight, then there is a chance the Ukrainian could hit the canvas.
We’ve never really seen Usyk in heaps of trouble inside the ring, but plenty of opponents have been knocked down by Fury and gotten back up, with Fury possessing that clubbing power more than the one-hitter-quitter style of Deontay Wilder.
9/1 is a nice punt for a small stake if you think this could be another thriller.
