Tyson Fury v Oleksandr Usyk Fight Preview & Betting Offers

Are you ready to do it all over again?
Seven months have passed in the blink of an eye since Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk met for the first time inside a professional boxing ring, and the pair of generation-defining heavyweights are ready to start where they left off in Riyadh in a story of repeat vs revenge.
Oleksandr Usyk became the undisputed heavyweight world champion back in May having edged Fury 114-113, 113-114, 115-112 on the scorecards in an incredibly competitive and absorbing fight, but both men travel to Saudi Arabia with differing scores to settle…
Fury’s is simple: he believes he won the fight.
The Briton characteristically clowned around in some of the earlier rounds back in May without looking in too much trouble, and in losing a split decision can argue his corner that at least one judge saw it his way...
Usyk and his team, however, believe that the fight should have been stopped earlier in the fight when the Ukrainian had Fury hurt in round nine.
The unbeaten southpaw now knows for certain that he can hurt the “Gypsy King” so will be doubling down on his attempt to get the stoppage on Saturday and underline the result from the first encounter.
Importantly (to some onlookers), this rematch is no longer an “undisputed” contest after the IBF decided to strip Usyk of his title following their May bout.
Daniel Dubois now owns that particular world title, but no one in the division can reasonably argue that Saturday’s fight isn’t still No. 1 vs No. 2 in the world.
Let’s take a closer look at Saturday's huge fight, plus the top boxing betting offers from the best betting sites.

Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk – Betting Markets
After starting the first fight as an Evens underdog, Oleksandr Usyk opens as an 8/11 favourite with bet365 this time around, and Fury as an 11/10 underdog.
Despite Usyk registering the win in May, there can be no doubt that these two are hard to split, and the markets are once again pointing to a close decision on the score cards.
A stoppage win for either sits at 3/1 with bet365, with Usyk to win on the scorecards the shortest “Fight Outcome” bet at 15/8.
A draw in boxing is always a punt and one that relies on some confliction on the judges scorecards, but considering we were only the Usyk knockdown away from a draw in May, 14/1 with bet365 is potentially worth a small stake for these two to become inseparable.
Fury is becoming known as a fighter that can take punishment and return to his feet to win the fight. 10/1 with bet365 says Fury can be knocked down and go on to win this rematch.
4/6 with bet365 is the price for the fight to go the full distance.
Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk 2 – Fight Overview
Branded as “Reignited”, that’s exactly what we are expecting from the rematch between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk this weekend.
May’s first clash was one for the ages, with both men showing patches of world class skill, unfathomable resilience, and a hunger to trade until the final bell.
Considering how close this encounter was, the rematch was the only fight that made sense for either man, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia will host twelve more rounds in an attempt to draw a line under this feud.
Neither men are spring chickens in the boxing game. Fury (36) and Usyk (37) are now seven months older than when they originally met and both had to soak up a fair amount of punishment across those infamous twelve rounds.
Retirement will be knocking on the door if either man loses badly on Saturday, so once again these two meet in a career-defining bout.
Rematches in boxing often hinge on the lessons that either fighter learnt from the opening bout, and the finest of adjustments may well swing the favour towards either repeat or revenge.
Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KO)
We’ve learnt a lot about Tyson Fury over his 16 years as a professional boxer, but we haven’t yet seen how he reacts after defeat.
Usyk handed the Morcambe fighter the first defeat of his career last time out, so Saturday night proves the perfect test to see how hungry he is to put it right.
Adjustments inside and outside of the ring are expected. Fury’s corner was too busy and too full of contradicting voices in May, but now with 36 minutes of experience of Usyk standing in front of him, Fury’s boxing brain should be capable of problem solving on his own.
Fury’s insistence on showboating and clowning around early in the fight will also need addressing. Expect a more dialled in, focussed and workmanlike “Gypsy King” from the opening bell.
Fury’s reluctance to work on the questionable body of Usyk may also change this time around.
Usyk’s solar plexus are definitely a weakness that opponents can exploit, but avoiding counters whilst shooting downstairs will be Fury’s biggest hurdle to overcome.
Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KO)
For Oleksandr Usyk in the rematch? More of the same.
Sure, the Ukrainian was probably hit harder and more consistently than many of his previous professional fights, but he was able to once again improve as the fight went on, winning the majority of the closing rounds to win the fight.
His beautifully timed onslaught of Fury in the ninth round nearly caused an early ending to proceedings, but measured and emotionless inside the ring as ever, the Ukrainian made sure to bide his time instead of taking any unnecessary risks.
Usyk’s footwork, ring IQ and underrated power are why he sits where he sits at the very top of the sport, and it’s going to take a very special performance to beat him.
