It was a tough start to the 50-over series for England on Thursday as India claimed a convincing win, and Graham Hardcastle is back with more cricket betting tips ahead of the second ODI in Cuttack.
The four-wicket margin flattered England in the end but there were signs - particularly early on with the bat - that the England of old isn't far away, and you can follow our latest cricket tips to keep up with Graham's work.

India v England Preview
England were 75-0 in the ninth over of game one, with Phil Salt flying on 43. But he was run out, and all of a sudden the visitors slipped to 77-3. From there, they were second best in every department.
Jos Buttler and co simply can’t afford to miss such opportunities against a team with India’s quality.
Unfortunately, I just don’t see things getting any easier as the series moves to Cuttack.
Rather than taking the 4/9 on a straight India win, I’m going to go for a bet365 bet builder double, which is 11/8 on India to win and for there to be a hundred scored in the match.
I suspect that at some point over the next couple of games, we will see a really big total or two - more likely from India than England, but the visitors certainly have it in them on their day as well.
Shubman success can continue and Salt can help us Phil our boots
Shubman Gill’s 87 from number three as India chased 249 to win by four wickets in Nagpur on Thursday brought us home a winner, and I don’t see any reason to divert away from him.
Bet365 provide us with the second bet of this ODI betting tips preview, and it’s a 13/8 shot on Gill to score a fifty in the match.
England quick Saqib Mahmood is a wicket-taker. We don’t see as much of him as we’d like due to his injury issues, but he’s generally in the action when fit.
He has played two matches on this tour so far - one T20 and the ODI opener - and has taken five wickets.
As a result, I’d be interested in taking on PaddyPower’s 7/2 shot on the Lancashire man to be England’s top bowler in this second game, one which England must win to keep alive their hopes of being victorious in the series.
I have another 7/2 shot for you, available via William Hill’s #YourOdds selections.
That is for India to win, for Gill to score over 36 runs for the hosts and for opener Phil Salt to score over 24 runs for England.
I have already spoken about my reasonings for Gill success, and I’m confident Salt can have another good day. He was run out in his prime in Thursday’s opener - on 43 - and hit 55 in Sunday’s final T20 fixture in Mumbai.
He’s the type of player who seems to get on streaks, and after struggling for a while he seems to have found his mojo again.
With that in mind, I also like Salt at 5/1 with Betano to be England’s top run-scorer in the contest.
