Championship Football Accumulator Predictions
Championship Accumulator of the Week
We have a midweek round of matches this week, with six games taking place on Tuesday and then five on Wednesday, so here's our pick of the games.
Bristol City v Sheffield United - Sheffield United to win
I was pretty impressed with Sheffield United's 2-0 win away at Blackburn at the weekend, that was a game I thought was pretty hard to call and a tricky away tie.
This will be another. Bristol City are quietly putting together a good run and are unbeaten since September 14 but they need to start converting some of their draws into wins.
They have two home wins all season but none in three, and considering the strength of the Blades I think they have enough about them to sneak a win, but it should be a good game regardless.
Swansea v Watford - Swansea to win
I've been tipping for some low-scoring Swansea games for the last few weeks, but it was no surprise to see them finally get a win against Oxford on Saturday and score two goals in the process.
Their underlying numbers have been pretty good for a few weeks despite the total lack of goals and I think that now that monkey is off their back, they could kick on in the coming weeks.
Watford have successive wins and three in the last five so this should be a decent game and I can see both teams scoring, but with Swansea coming out on top.
Sheffield Wednesday v Norwich - BTTS
Norwich are a good side - although it was no surprise to see them lose to Cardiff at the weekend - and one of the most entertaining teams in the Championship.
I think they can push for another top six finish this season but with 23 goals scored and 18 conceded so far in 13 matches, they are definitely a little bit volatile.
Sheffield Wednesday have a similar record in reverse with 24 conceded and 15 scored. Only two teams have worse defensive records in the league so I think we'll have another fun game to watch, and home advantage could play out in the Owls' favour.
QPR v Boro - BTTS
Every year Middlesbrough are tipped to seriously challenge for promotion, but last season and so far this year, they have flattered to deceive.
The home defeat to Coventry at the weekend will have been a real blow to Michael Carrick and they now have just one win in five, so a trip to struggling QPR isn't going to be an easy one.
However there have been plenty of goals in their last two games - nine altogether - and while QPR have had back-to-back goalless draws (against Burnley and Sunderland though), I think they will be a bit more open on Tuesday and at least take a goal off Boro.
