The Hundred – Tournament Schedule
The Hundred is a round-robin-style tournament where each team plays all the others once, as well as one extra match against their nearest rivals.
These eight matches are split into four home matches and four away matches.
The top three teams after the round-robin fixtures will qualify for the finals – the 2nd and 3rd placed teams will play off in an elimination match and the winner will go on to play the top-ranked team to decide who is champion.
The Hundred – Match Format
The biggest changes between The Hundred and other shorter formats of cricket are the match length and how the overs will be bowled.
Each innings will only last 100 balls and each over can either consist of five consecutive balls or 10 – it’ll be up to the captain to decide which, before the over starts.
There will be a change of end after 10 deliveries and each bowler is limited to 20 balls per innings.
Additionally, the fielding teams have one tactical 150-second time-out per innings.
And like all formats of cricket, the team that scores the most runs wins the match.
The Hundred – What To Bet On
- Match Betting – The simplest form of betting on cricket, you’re betting on which side will win the match.
- Top Batsman – Here you’re placing a bet on who will score the most runs in a specific match and with runs the name of the game, this is bound to be a popular bet during matches in The Hundred.
- Top Bowler – This one sees you placing a bet on which bowler will take the most wickets during a specific match.
- Method of Dismissal – For all you fans of betting on live cricket this is one not to be missed. Here, you’re betting on how one of the batsmen at the crease will be dismissed – normally selecting one of caught, bowled, run out, LBW, or stumped.
