Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle 2022 Betting Odds, Runners & Preview

Better known as the Fred Winter Hurdle, the race is for four-year-old novice hurdlers only. A two-and-a-half mile novice chase which was first introduced to the Festival in 2005, this contest has been kind to the home contingent as they have kept the trophy at home for eight of the past eleven years.

A full complement of 20 runners will probably go to post in a race where the smaller lesser-known trainers have enjoyed great success.

Paul Nicholls and Gordon Elliott have been the leading trainers in recent years.

In 2021, Jeff Kidder pulled off a stunning 80/1 upset, coming from behind to overcome 9/2 favourite Saint Sam by two lengths under Sean Flanagan. It was the biggest priced Cheltenham winner in 30 years.
