The Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe is Europe’s premier middle-distance race and is one of the most valuable international turf races in the world.

The Epsom Derby winner Adayar and Epsom Oaks winner Snowfall will both line up on Sunday but they face a tough task taking on older rivals such as Tarnawa and Chrono Genesis.

2020 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe Recap

Sottsass won the 2020 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe partnered by jockey Cristian Demuro, defeating a high-quality field that included the history-seeking Enable who could finish only 6th.

Third in the 2019 race, Sottsass ploughed through the heavy ground at Longchamp, picking up smartly and staying on well to beat In Swoop, with Persian King hanging on for 3rd having made most of the running.

Recent Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe Winners

The Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe is one of the highlights of the European flat season and the race has seen several high-class winners through the years including Dancing Brave, Sea The Stars, and Enable.

It is one of six Group 1 contests at Longchamp on Sunday with the race being shown live in the UK on ITV Racing.
