Brazil v Ecuador Betting Tips, Odds & Match Preview - World Cup Qualifier
Can Brazil get back to winning ways in their World Cup qualifier against Ecuador?

Both Brazil and Ecuador are jostling for position in mid-table of the CONMEBOL qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
It’s an unfamiliar experience for Seleção who haven’t failed to top the World Cup qualification standings since way back in 2002, but with just two wins in six matches so far, the pressure is on for Dorival Junior’s side to improve – and improve fast!
Ecuador gave a good showing for themselves at the summer’s Copa America – losing to eventual winners Argentina on penalties in the quarter-finals – and are hopeful of reaching just their fifth World Cup in their nation’s history.

Brazil v Ecuador Match Preview
There is just one point and one place separating these two sides coming into Saturday’s morning’s clash, but with the top six sides guaranteed a place at the 2026 World Cup, it isn’t quite panic stations yet…
Both sides exited the summer’s Copa America at the quarter-finals, but it was Brazil who were left most disappointed.
Brazil have won just three of their last 12 games, and despite an exciting new forward line consisting of Real Madrid’s prime signings Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Endrick, are struggling to keep up with the impressive form of their big south American rivals Argentina.
The last two meetings between these two have finished in 1-1 draws, but with an 11-2 lead over La Tri in their historical head-to-heads, Brazil will be expectant of a victory in this qualifier.
No thrills, some spills
Brazil aren’t high on confidence at the moment, and the away team will be arriving in Curitiba looking to stifle the electric attack of Seleção.
They have frustrated Brazil successfully in their last two meetings and with just four losses in 18 matches inside 90 minutes, La Tri will be eager to tread water in the top five of the qualification standings.
Their goalscoring is the biggest red flag; just five goals in six matches sees them as the fourth least prolific side across their south American neighbours, but their stubborn defence has seen them pick up positive results.
Brazil’s side is of course littered with talent, but something isn’t quite clicking.
They are without household names Neymar, Raphinha, Richarlison and Casemiro and will be expecting to field a Premier League midfield of Bruno Guimaraes and Lucas Paqueta.
All the fingers are pointing to a game that will feature under 2.5 goals at 19/20 with bet365.
Caicedo to struggle
Chelsea’s Ecuadorian record midfield may have a tough evening coping with the multi-pronged attack of Brazil’s front line.
The 22-year-old has picked up seven yellows in his last 17 matches and can often be left wafting a leg out when getting caught in possession.
Ecuador are going to have to be robust and resolute in midfield if they are to escape with a point, and if that’s at the expense of a few tasty challenges then they will take it.
Take Moises Caicedo to be booked at 3/1 with bet365.
