Daily Euro 2024 Acca
We take in the best of the action on Tuesday evening with our 7/1 Acca.
Spain to beat France
France haven’t shown much offensively so far in Euro, failing to find the net in two of their last four matches against the Netherlands and Portugal. Spain left great, if not the best impression in the tournament so far. They were minutes away from eliminating Germany in regular time, while winning six games in a row before that. Backing La Roja to win is the best bet.
Hamrun Spartans to beat Lincoln Red Imps
Hamrun Spartans defended the title in Maltese Premier Division and had a decent run in last year’s Europa League. Lincoln Red Imps suffered seven defeats in their last nine UCL qualifying matches, so I expect hosts to gain some advantage before the trip to Gibraltar.
FCSB to win in -2.5 handicap vs Virtus
Virtus became the champions of San Marino for the first time in club’s history, but they are not expected to make any noise in the UCL qualifiers. FCSB retuned to the throne of Romanian football after nine long years and kicked off this season with a convincing 3-0 win in the Super Cup against Hundedoara. I expect one-side clash here and visitors to win by at least three goals difference.

Both Teams to Score - No
Looking at the recent form of the two teams and the general pattern of this tournament, I feel pretty sure that we’re going to have another tight game with just a goal or so between the two sides. France have conceded just one goal - a penalty - in the entire tournament while Spain also have three clean sheets and have conceded twice.
France to Qualify
This is a really hard game to call and the form books and eye tests suggest that Spain have the upper hand, but I think France’s nous will count for more on the day. I think they will drag it out and there is a very good chance that we go to extra-time and penalties, but I just can’t see them conceding - and certainly not enough to lose in the 90 minutes. However their attacking play has been as dour as their defensive efforts, so it could be a long evening in Munich.
Kylian Mbappe Over 1.5 Shots on Target
It hasn’t quite clicked for Mbappe since suffering a broken nose in France’s first game. He has just one goal to his name - a penalty, France’s only non-own-goal - but I am certain he will be out to put that right on Tuesday, especially with a move to Real Madrid on the horizon.
He has had seven shots on target in the tournament so far and averages 1.68 shots on target per 90 minutes, and with his desperation to grab the game by the scruff of the neck I think we could see quite a few efforts - even if some of them are quite ambitious.
