Pub Sports Betting Review
Pub is a relatively new sports betting site, having only launched in the UK in 2023. Owned by L&L Europe Ltd, a Malta-based company which manages 10 casino brands, Pub Sports' background lies in online casino games.
That said, the sports betting side of the operation has started to gain traction with UK punters.

Holding a Malta license and certified by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC), there aren't many Pub Sports legit concerns raised. Pub Sports hasn't formed any meaningful partnerships within the industry that we know of, but the casino arm of the operation is highly rated.
Without digressing too much, Pub Sports has a relaxed vibe, bearing resemblance to drinking with a few mates in the pub while placing wagers on your favourite sports. Aesthetically-speaking, the colour palette is similar to BetMGM, although the latter is a bit more inviting in presentation.
There is a serious emphasis on security at Pub Sports, so whether you are playing here or at more established sportsbooks like bet365 or Betfair, the level of security offered is top-notch. It abides by UKGC regulations, so expect to see the latest SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) measures installed. Moreover, the site is bound by AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations, so your details won't be shared with third parties. This sportsbook allows players to withdraw their consent from receiving promotional offers and marketing, and data collection is mainly used for research.
Nevertheless, the sportsbook has a perfectly optimised mobile site complimenting the desktop version. However, I couldn't see an app which is raised in my Pub Sports review. Anyway, Pub Sports isn't deluged with many innovative features, but I liked the Bet Mentor. Through Bet Mentor, you can choose how much you wish to wager, and select how much you would like to win. Pub Sports does the rest, tailoring bets catered to your exacting demands, and that was a nice touch.
In terms of UX experience, I enjoyed flicking through the various sports markets. Everything was at my fingertips, just like at any other new site such as Livescore Bet, and there were no obvious glaring admissions. One thing I noticed was the default odds setting were decimals, whereas at sites such as Betfred and William Hill, prices were set as fractional which I prefer using.
Don't forget about the fast markets. This comes in various iterations at other betting sites, such as Paddy Power where you can wager on which team will lead after a certain period. But at Pub Sports, you can predict what will happen in the next couple of or 10 minutes, making this an enticing prospect.
Later on, we will compare the sports coverage to its competitors. At first glance, there are over 30 individual sports to wager on at Pub, including table tennis, and filling in a betting slip was straightforward. At most other bookmakers, there are at least 20 sports to wager on, which is par for the course. However, at sites such as Ladbrokes, they delved into politics and other non-sport specials, giving it a slight edge.
User Experience - My Personal View
It's time to dig deeper and give some more forthright opinions. As part of my Pub Sports review, I want to give an accurate view of the desktop performance. There were no lagging issues using the desktop site, and there was a good selection of markets well signposted.
Perhaps one slightly troubling issue was the disclaimer relating to the odds information. There was also mention of potential delays in streaming live events, but Pub Sports accepts no liability. I didn't see such information supplied by bet365 or BetVictor, but there can be discrepancies over the posting prices.
Shoving that to one side, this site performed well when run through various tests. There were no lagging issues, pop-up ads, or other dead links I've sometimes experienced at other sites, such as Livescore Bet.
However, while this site works well on mobile, I was surprised that Pub Sports doesn't have a native betting app. The casino operation does, averaging 4.4 stars out of 5 for iOS users, but Pub Sports hasn't followed suit. It might have saved me some time scrolling through the App Store looking for it! This is a drawback as many UK sports betting sites have a fully functioning betting app mirroring the desktop version, so Pub sportsbook drops marks.
Apart from the Bet Mentor feature I touched on earlier, Pub Sports has a reliable live streaming product. I just had to toggle on a sport that appeals, and you need to be logged in to the site to get unfettered access. Usually, you need to have a positive balance or placed a bet in the past 24 hours like at bet365, but registered Pub Sports users should look for the 'play' icon to get involved.
While there is live streaming, I couldn't find many live streams for domestic horse racing meets or replays which is often readily available elsewhere at bet365 or BetVictor.
Pub Sports Betting Markets & Odds
Pub Sports puts a strong foot forward for in-play betting, and this area of the site is stacked with odds. While basketball outside of the NBA season was restricted to the winner and spread lines, this can't be said of tennis. For Challenger or ATP Tour tournaments, there were a plethora of game and set markets rivalling other sportsbooks, including talkSPORT, although the latter lacked point betting lines. When an event isn't streamed live, there are immersive graphics displaying stats, so you aren't left in the dark.
The extent of sports coverage at Pub Sports is an undeniable highlight of my review. Odds can be found for practically every sport from American Football to greyhound racing, horse racing, and even ski jumping. That said, the odds aren't the strongest. While they are decent, compared to Betfred and William Hill, Pub Sports aren't as competitive.
An acca boost is part of the promotional package, but more on that to follow. This sportsbook should be praised for bet builders, and it looks great on the mobile version. Take Chelsea's UEFA Conference League semi-final clash with Djurgarden, for example. I found everything from player total assists to player cards, and more. This favoured well compared to BoyleSports, although BoyleSports included Scorecasts, ie a player to score and team to win which would have sat nicely at Pub.
I was though disappointed there wasn't Best Odds Guaranteed at Pub. Yes, there is horse racing, but with Best Odds Guaranteed, players benefit from being paid out on the Starting Price (SP) if bigger than the Early Price (EP).
This betting site does well for odds boosts. Although the odds boosts at BetVictor are bigger, raising the prices for some markets from 12/1 to 14/1, Pub Sports might lengthen odds from 12/5 to 13/5 which isn't as enticing. Nevertheless, incorporating odds boosts onto a betting slip was seamless.
I enjoyed the Early Payout feature for Premier League games at Pub, comparing well alongside bet365. Also, who doesn't like a Bore Draw market? You can get a return on your stake if a game finishes goalless, so look for the Bore Draw logo. Not every UK sportsbook has this, so that serves Pub well.
Cash Out is available at this sportsbook, however, I noticed I could only cash out bets in their entirety whereas at Betway and William Hill, you can partially cash out bets, and I feel Pub missed a trick here.
Pub Sports Betting Bonuses and Promotions
If you want regular promotions at Pub Sports, divert your eyes as there aren't many to speak of. There is a welcome offer though, and we have more details on the welcome bonus consisting of a free bet and an acca boost.
There is only one promotion, but Pub is keen to stress they have improved other features, such as bet builders and flash markets. The news and promotions section, meanwhile, felt a bit outdated.
Pub Sports Welcome Bonus Review – £10 Free Bet when you bet £10 + 50% Acca Boost
The flagship welcome offer comprises a £10 free bet when you bet £10, and a percentage boost of 50% for accas. While this initially seemed like a weak deal judged on the free bets compared to, say BetMGM (Bet £10 Get £40), the min odds for this deal are 2.00 isn't bad, and the acca boost element is a fan favourite.
Often, Neteller deposits, for example, are exempt from promotions, but that doesn't apply at this sportsbook. The welcome offer can also be used on pre-match or in-play betting markets so it's worth latching onto.
What is the Pub Sports Betting Promo Code?
Promo codes are advertised for punters to collect a welcome bonus, but there wasn't one at this sportsbook, so sign up and grab the deal.

I've highlighted the main deposit methods and withdrawal options available at Pub sportsbook, but remember, when you deposit for the first time, deposits exceeding £1,400 are subject to verification checks.

Customer Service at Pub Sports Betting
Customer support is a core part of any bookmaker review. Pub is adept, offering a live chat facility (had to use message form to open), email address, and phone number.
Typically, response times were quite quick when I put these communication channels through their paces, and the FAQs area also fulfilled its purpose. Virtually everything was covered, including enhanced due diligence, suggesting Pub doesn't take shortcuts to keep its players happy.
Responsible Gambling at Pub Sports Betting
The Pub betting operation wants to keep its players safe, and teaches them to gamble responsibly. Among the tools in place to reinforce the play responsibly mantra, include:
Deposit Limits
A popular measure, players can bet based on their incomes, so they don't wager more than they can afford.
Time Limits
Done on a 24-hour basis, this caps the amount of time players spend wagering. So, if you don't wish to spend more than an hour betting, gameplay won't be exceeded once the hour mark is up.
Time Out
This is more of a temporary measure for players should they wish to take a short break, and that is at their discretion.
Self-Exclusion
Self-exclusion is a more conclusive gambling break, and Pub sports betting will let players determine how long they want to be prevented from accessing their account. This can be anywhere from six months to five years.
Other Gambling Advice
Punters can gamble responsibly at this sportsbook through manual self-assessments to determine risk level. This is done through the Problem Gambling Severity Index, or PSI for short, where you answer test questions to establish your gambling habits.
There are also amazing support groups offering more relevant advice, such as GamCare and GamblersAnonymous, so you won't be alone.
Transparency & Security
Apart from industry standard firewall measures, the Pub sports betting site is equipped with the latest SSL and TLS (Transport Layer Security) technology to ensure transactions are encrypted, so players aren't exposed online. Pub is transparent about the level of security offered, and everything is discussed in the T&Cs.
My Verdict
Overall, Pub has some merits, such as bet builders and odds boosts which are core strengths. The lack of regular promotions, despite the decent welcome offer, was a bit off-putting, as is not having an app which seems almost unheard of now.
Nevertheless, Pub is learning, and it might shake things up to attract more punters. However, this site is great for casual bettors, so they shouldn't feel overwhelmed.
