Saudi Arabia World Cup Betting
With five World Cup Finals appearances under their belt, Saudi Arabia is arguably the most unheralded team in Group C. Little is expected of them and they could well be the group whipping boys.
However, they won’t be in Qatar and they will be hoping to give a good account of themselves.

Saudi Arabia World Cup Squad
Four years ago, Saudi Arabia named an entirely domestic squad. There are a few survivors from that torrid campaign, which saw them dumped out of the group stages. Salem Al-Dawsari spent a short loan spell at Villarreal and playing for his country always brings the best out of him.
Al-Dawsari was a key player in Saudi Arabia’s successful World Cup qualification campaign. The Al-Hilal winger won the Asian Champions League last year and he played a starring role as Al-Hilal lifted their 17th Saudi Arabian league title. He will be pivotal if Saudi Arabia is going to escape from their group.
Meanwhile, Abdulaziz Al-Bishi links up play well in midfield, and last season, he netted four times for Al-Ittihad. He has a good football brain on him and he will have to take the initiative and get Saudi Arabia on the front foot.
Saudi Arabia World Cup Odds
Unsurprisingly, Saudi Arabia are rank outsiders to do well at the World Cup, and getting out of what appears to be an eminently tough group, will be a huge achievement in itself.
Currently, they are available at a very long price of 500/1 with Coral to win the World Cup, which would be a footballing miracle. While they have graced the World Cup a few times in the past, Saudi Arabia is defensively very shaky, and scoring goals may be a problem for them, so if they can advance from the group, they will take an enormous amount of pride from that.
Saudi Arabia will come against some of the world’s most feared marksmen in Group C, so they have a tall order trying to keep them at bay.
Saudi Arabia World Cup Predictions
As one of the minnows of the World Cup, Saudi Arabia’s chances of doing well are limited. The Golden Boot market sees Saleh Al-Shehri trading at 250/1 with Paddy Power to top the goalscoring charts, although he will face stiff competition for that accolade.
Alternatively, if you think Saudi Arabia will spring a surprise and reach the quarter-finals, then you can get a price of 40/1 with Paddy Power, which might not seem as outrageous at first glance.
Verdict: How Far Will Saudi Arabia Go at 2022 World Cup?
Even though the World Cup isn’t uncharted territory for Saudi Arabia, they have struggled on the international stage. Although they may have some luck against serial underachievers Poland, Group C is something of a poisoned chalice for Saudi Arabia.
They could well be put to the sword by Argentina and Mexico will fancy their chances of sticking a few past them. William Hill has odds of 11/2 for Saudi Arabia to qualify from Group C, which in many respects, is reflective of where Saudi Arabia is at, and an early World Cup elimination is very feasible.
