Mildmay Novices’ Chase (2.50pm, Friday)
Peter Scudamore thinks that Chantry House (6/4 with Coral) will enjoy the step up in trip to 3m1f for the Mildmay Novices’ Chase.
The eight-time champion jockey told the Inside Angle that a horse’s ability to relax is often key in them getting the longer trips saying, “Chantry House looks a relaxed horse to me, they’ll be able to switch him off and I think he’ll get the trip well.”
While Paul Ferguson thinks that The Big Breakaway (6/1 with Paddy Power) should improve on his showing from Cheltenham, he also believes that the increase in trip will be to the benefit of Chantry House and that we have the right favourite for this Grade 1.
