Football: 14/1 League One Acca - Tuesday, March 1

On Tuesday night, we head into League One and come out with a 14/1 acca that features three teams who are all chasing promotion to the Championship. All three are in a good position now, and wins on the night will put them in an even better place.

Our acca pays out 14/1, and you can view the selections below!

Rotherham win to nil v Shrewbury

We kick off our acca with the league leaders Rotherham, a team in fine form at the moment, and it will be a big shock if they are not playing Championship football at the start of the 2022/23 season. The Millers are unbeaten in nine league games, they’ve won eight of those and drawn one.

Crucially, considering the bet we are going with here, they have won every single one of those eight games with a clean sheet attached. The only time they’ve conceded in that run is when they drew 1-1 with second placed Wigan a couple of weeks ago.

Shrewsbury won at the weekend, but prior to that they hadn’t won in eight games, and during those eight games, they have only scored three goals. Rotherham look the bet here, and considering their defensive record, plus the lack of goals from Shrewsbury, we are backing them to win to nil.

Sheffield Wednesday to beat Burton

The next team we like on Tuesday night is Sheffield Wednesday, when they host Burton Albion at Hillsborough. Wednesday have been hit and miss all season, showing promise, before ultimately disappointing, but recently they have started to shine.

They have lost just one of their last seven games, and that came against league leaders Rotherham, while the other six have all resulted in wins. The teams met at the start of the month, and that game ended with Wednesday winning 2-0 away from home.

They come here with momentum behind them, The Owls are starting to push hard for promotions and we fancy them to take another step forward with a second win over Burton this season.

Wigan to beat Fleetwood & BTTS

Second placed Wigan are the final team in our Tuesday night League One acca, when they host Fleetwood Town. Wigan lost 3-0 at the weekend against Sunderland, and will be desperate to bounce back from that. This game offers them an ideal opportunity to do so, Fleetwood are now seven games without a win.

While Fleetwood haven’t been winning, they have been scoring, putting the ball in the net in five of the seven games they have failed to win recently, for a total of nine goals, and three of them came at the weekend. Wigan are playing well, but have conceded in five of their last six games and we think that may happen again.

We like Wigan to win the game, but think Fleetwood can get on the scoreboard, so it’s a Wigan win and both teams to score to round off our acca.

  • Rotherham to win to nil v Shrewsbury
  • Sheffield Wednesday to beat Burton
  • Wigan to beat Fleetwood & BTTS
