Nike 'Confirm' Philippe Coutinho's January Move To Barcelona
December 31, 2017
After Mohamed Salah netted twice to complete a comeback in a 2-1 win over Leicester on Saturday, Liverpool fans may have been forgiven for assuming they would have a great New Year.
But that may not be the case after Nike, kit manufacturers of FC Barcelona, appeared to confirm Philippe Coutinho will be swapping Anfield for the Camp Nou in January.
The Catalan giants made Coutinho their number one target to replace Neymar when he joined PSG for a world record £198 million, but Liverpool refused to even consider any offers.
It was thought, if he was going to make the switch at all, it would be next summer. But it appears that a deal could already be done according to Nike’s latest ad campaign.
It appeared to be trying to get Barcelona fans to buy this season’s shirt, with Coutinho’s name on it.
Nike have deleted it now, but it has got everyone talking and Liverpool fans nervously checking to see if it is true.
