Darts World Matchplay Betting Tips

Let’s take a look at some of the best betting for Day 3 in Blackpool:

Dimitri van den Bergh vs Ross Smith – Over 11.5 180s at 5/6 with bet365 (Monday @ 19:00)

Over 11.5 180s - 5/6

We kick off with a game that should feature plenty of maximum's

Ross Smith shocked the PDC with his European Championship win in 2022 and has made a solid start to life on the Tour in 2023.

He’s up against it on Monday night, however, taking on 2020 winner van den Bergh.

The Belgian has made semi-finals at the World Championship, World Cup and UK Open in 2023 and is the rightful favourite in this race to ten.

Smith won his major title by hammering the maximum bed, and if he runs the DreamMaker close, then we’ll probably see a flurry of 180s.

Ryan Searle vs Raymond van Barneveld – Ryan Searle to win at 8/11 with bet365 (Monday @ 20:00)

Searle to beat van Barneveld - 8/11

Lewis fancies Searle to knock out Barney

Raymond van Barneveld has won pretty much everything in world darts, barring the World Matchplay.

The Dutchman hasn’t played here since 2018 and hasn’t got past the second round since 2011, but will be fairly happy with his draw in the opening round.

Searle is 15th seeded out of 16 but has only made a major dent in a big tournament once in 2021.

Barney’s return to the big time is nice to see but we’re not expecting it to last past Monday.

Jonny Clayton vs Gabriel Clemens – Jonny Clayton to win match and highest checkout at 6/5 with bet365 (Monday @ 22:00)

Clayton to win & highest checkout - 6/5

We end with a win/highest checkout double

Only Gerwyn Price is throwing a higher average than Jonny Clayton so far in 2023, enjoying a 42% checkout percentage to boot.

Gabriel Clemens has only ever won one World Matchplay game and will probably roll over once Clayton’s ball gets rolling.

Clayton leads Clemens 5-0 in a dominant head-to-head.
