Let’s take a look at some of the best betting for the quarter-finals in Blackpool:
Joe Cullen vs Daryl Gurney – Joe Cullen match win and most 180s at 13/10 with bet365 (Thursday @ 20:00)
Cullen flexed his muscles in knocking out Gerwyn Price and looks a good shout for the title in Blackpool.
He’s averaging 98 for the tournament so far and has those big-match credentials after a couple of impressive seasons on the PDC Tour.
Daryl Gurney is a surprise package in the quarters and will take anything extra a bonus in the Winter Gardens.
The Northern-Irishman is a two-time semi-finalist at the Matchplay but hasn’t made the last four of a big tournament since 2020.
Cullen should dominate in the match and the 180 race to boot.
Chris Dobey vs Nathan Aspinall – Over 27.5 legs at 8/11 with bet365 (Thursday @ 21:30)
These two have shared 6-4 wins over each other in the Premier League this season and we’re expecting Thursday’s match-up to be just as tight.
Both men have big TV titles under their belts in the Masters and UK Open and will see this year’s Matchplay as a big opportunity to add to them with the draw opening up.
In a race to 16, over 27.5 legs looks good with both players reaching 12 legs.
Damon Heta vs Luke Humphries – Luke Humphries match win at 8/15 with bet365 (Friday @ 20:00)
Humphries is the tournament favourite and top seed at #6 after the elimination of some of the big boys of the PDC.
He has been impressive in wins over Kim Huybrechts and Dirk van Duijvenbode but faces a man that won his last match 11-1…
Damon Heta is on song and is averaging at 95 for the tournament; he’s always a threat at this stage of TV tournaments, but has yet to get past the quarter-final stage of a meaningful event.
Humphries looks the real deal in 2023 and should advance.
Ryan Searle vs Jonny Clayton – 170 finish in match at 11/2 with bet365 (Friday @ 21:30)
We can’t pick a winner here, so we’re relying on Searle and Clayton to put on a show in Blackpool.
Clayton has already reeled in the “big fish” 170 finish at this year’s tournament, and Searle’s finishing has been impressive.
This match could well go 32+ legs, so backing the 170 finish at 11/2 looks worth a small stake.
