Bodo/Glimt vs Arsenal Preview & Betting Tips

Arsenal have plenty of reasons to be cheerful right now and they will be looking for another on Thursday

Thursday Night Football

After getting the better of Bodo/Glimt at the Emirates, Arsenal will now look to do the same in Norway.

More Momentum Please

Although Arsenal have played one Europa League game less than scheduled, the postponement of PSV’s visit has done little to slow them down and even with a game in hand, the Gunners find themselves top of the Group A shop.

While they have done so after recording wins over both FC Zurich and Bodo/Glimt and with the Norwegian outfit being the last team to be brushed aside in Europe, there is every chance they could be the next.

Because with Kjetil Knudsen’s men now preparing to roll out the red carpet on Thursday, the in-demand manager will need to find a game plan that is more effective than that of last week’s offering.

With Bodo/Glimt succumbing to a 3-0 defeat at the Emirates, it has only fueled Arsenal’s early momentum further and by the time Mikel Arteta’s side beat Liverpool on Sunday, there is even more gasoline in their tank.

A victory that might just be their coming-of-age performance and for those who are considering a successful title tilt in the red half of North London, their odds have notably shortened in the past couple of weeks.

What was 11/1 and behind Manchester City and Liverpool, is now 7/1 and only behind the defending champions and with the way they have assimilated their return to continental football, outright success in the Europa League looks highly likely as well.

Should they manage to get the job done in Norway on Thursday, they will have one foot in the Round of 16 and the earlier that qualification can be secured, means the earlier players can earn some much-needed rest.

Then again, with rotation on show, this Arsenal side has been more of a match for the two sides they have already faced in Europe and with the changes likely to be rung once more in midweek, the supporting cast will be tasked with earning maximum points.

Which means if there are to be goals, Eddie Nketiah could well be the man to watch and after opening the scoring in last Thursday’s win over Bodo/Glimt, I am backing him to do the same at best odds of 24/5 with Unibet.

In addition to this, I have another offering up my sleeve and this time I am looking at the corner market. With exactly seven in total being priced at odds of 8/1, I am hoping this is a lucky number for both you and I.
