Monday Goals Acca – 10/1
- Armenia vs Latvia – Over 2.5 goals
- Ukraine vs Malta – Under 3.5 goals
- Northern Ireland vs Kazakhstan – Under 1.5 goals
Armenia vs Latvia – Over 2.5 goals
Armenia caused a massive upset a couple of nights ago in Cardiff, beating Wales 4-2. Their execution was perfect, taking advantage of Wales’ poor defending and scoring four goals from four shots on target.
The most recent appearance before the abovementioned win was a friendly match against Cyprus which also ended with a high number of goals (2-2). Latvia don’t have anything to lose on Monday. They also had a great offensive display against Turkey on Friday (lost 2-3), so Over 2.5 is my top pick for the match in Yerevan.
Ukraine vs Malta – Under 3.5 goals
The last couple of days have been very successful for Ukraine. First, they got their team spirits up after holding Germany to a 3-3 draw in a friendly match, followed by a victory in a five-goal thriller against North Macedonia. Those were the first points for Yellow and Blues in Group C where they are tagged as the underdog in the race for the top two spots against England and Italy.
Anything but three points against Malta would be considered a massive disaster. There is no doubt visitors will park the bus and hope for the best. Under 3.5 stands out as the top pick here, since I don’t either expect Malta to score or Ukraine to chase a convincing victory.
Northern Ireland vs Kazakhstan – Under 1.5 goals
Northern Ireland are one of the most consistent teams in Europe when it comes to keeping their qualifying matches tight, with a high percentage of Under 2.5 goals. That was the case in their last two EURO 2024 Qualifying appearances against Finland and Denmark, losing both games with identical 1-0 scores.
Monday’s clash is going to be the first time they are locking horns against Kazakhstan. Visitors would be thrilled to get away with a point from Belfast, so placing a lot of focus on defending is likely. Five of North Ireland’s last ten qualifying games have seen Under 1.5 goals, so a 2/1 price on this bet is a great value.
