While there was EFL Cup misery at the hands of Manchester United in midweek where they slumped to a 2-0 defeat in the second leg of their semi-final table, Forest are moving in the right direction in the league.

Since the turn of the year, Forest have won two of their three league game, and the belief shown towards Steve Cooper has paid off.

However, Cooper may well have to reshuffle his line-up for the visit of Leeds as Jesse Lingard pulled up injured in the warm-up at Old Trafford, and so this could thrust Gustavo Scarpa into the playmaker role.

Leeds, meanwhile, have suffered a torrid run of results, but how will the first Premier League encounter in the 21st Century between these two sides unfold?

We have rummaged through the markets and we have handpicked a couple of tips for you to sink your teeth into.

Honours even

It certainly feels that Forest have turned a corner, and they even had a productive January transfer, making a further six signings, including nabbing Keylor Navas on loan to provide cover for the injured Dean Henderson.

Of course, bedding in new signings takes time but Forest are heading in the right direction and Cooper will block out all the outside noise and distractions.

Leeds, however, have been too easy to break down at times, and they have conceded an average of 1.74 goals per game this term.

While there have been some highs, including a 3-0 win over Chelsea earlier this term, there have been a few nadirs and they need to keep scrapping to avoid the drop.

Leeds have conceded in 16 of their last 18 matches in the league, but I have a hunch this will end up with the points shared. There could be some goals too. If you like the look of the draw and Both Teams to Score line, then William Hill has offered odds of 10/3.

Wilfried Gnonto to draw first blood

Considering this is his first season in the Premier League, Wilfried Gnonto has caught the eye.

His driving runs have been a feature of Leeds’ attacking production, and when he’s not cut down by opposition defences, he poses a threat.

Since the World Cup, only Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma has carried the ball further upfield (704m) than Gnonto (625m).

And of the teams outside of the Premier League’s current top six, only Michael Olise (70) has received more passes in the final third than Gnonto (54).

But after just six starts, we have only seen glimpses of what Gnonto can produce. That said, he has hit three goals in his past five appearances for Leeds, and he could well draw first blood against Forest.

If you are interested in the goalscorer markets, Gnonto is priced at 8/1 with bet365 to open the scoring.
