Tizz is back with Premier League betting tips for the final round on Sunday 28th May

Premier League final week bets

The curtain closes on what’s been another stellar Premier League season this Sunday with relegation places still to be decided, as well as Conference League qualification. With there being so many games on I have decided to go with something a bit different for this weekend and give you a single bet that I fancy for each game… fingers crossed we find some value and winners in there.

Of course the biggest worry with these games is knowing how a manager is going to play his hand if he has nothing to play for. I have factored that into my bets and am hoping for the best.

Arsenal vs Wolverhampton Wanderers - Martin Odegaard to score anytime 15/8

Sadly it wasn’t to be for Arsenal who seized up on the home straight, but there are still plenty of positives to take from this campaign and their biggest positive has been the emergence of Martin Odegaard. We knew he was a real talent before The Gunners wrapped him up permanently but since putting pen to paper he has been the lynchpin to Mikel Arteta’s side. With 15 goals and 7 assists from midfield this season, the Norwegian midfielder has been one of the standout players in Europe. I fancy him to get on the scoresheet in front of The Emirates faithful who will be looking to cheer on their side and congratulate them for a strong campaign.

Aston Villa vs Brighton & Hove Albion - Ollie Watkins to score anytime EVS

After wrapping up Europa League qualification last week it remains to be seen what Brighton side will turn up on Sunday. As for Aston Villa it’s all on the line for Europa Conference League qualification next season. The Villains have been exceptional under Unai Emery and Ollie Watkins has been his go to guy for goals. Although Watkins has experienced a bit of a goal drought in recent weeks I think he could be the man to rise to the occasion and get Villa back in Europe next season with a goal.

Brentford vs Manchester City - Manchester City to win 4/5

For me this is a bet I am all over, Manchester City at 4/5 to win is a huge price! Regardless of what team they put out from their ridiculously talented squad you have to fancy that they should be too strong for Brentford. As much as I commend Brentford on their performances over the last ten months, I just think this has a Man City win written all over it.

Chelsea vs Newcastle - Newcastle win 11/8

Chelsea look dead in the water and this game has nothing on the line. I expect Eddie Howe might mix it up a bit here with certain players getting starts that wouldn’t usually, players perhaps like Allan Saint-Maximin or Anthony Gordon could come into it, and maybe even Matt Targett. I think we have all run out of adjectives to describe this current Chelsea side but I will throw in three to describe their squad… underperforming, overpaid and gutless. Two money powerhouses in the Premier League on a completely different trajectory. We are seeing the decline of Chelsea under Todd Boehly who has thrown over £600 million Euros at players since taking over just 12 months ago. The sacking of Tuchel to go on and appoint Graham Potter and then Frank Lampard, all I can say on that one is WOW. It stinks of a club that has no direction and it is leaking down from the very top and on to the pitch. Since Lampard has returned Chelsea have won one and drawn one of their last ten Premier League games. Four points from a possible 30 is relegation form and this is a team that simply doesn’t play for the badge.

Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest - Crystal Palace win 4/6

Crystal Palace may choose to wave goodbye to Roy Hodgson at the end of the season, and I would like to see him go out with a win. Roy has done a proper job for the Eagles on his managerial return and the fans are very grateful for him. I hope it is a relationship that can give us one more season given what we have seen since Roy’s reemergence. Again this game is a rubber-duck with nothing to play for and in front of the home crowd I expect that we will see a silky Crystal Palace side looking to reward Roy.

Everton vs Bournemouth - Draw 7/2

So many eyes will be glued to their screens to see the outcome of this one. Bournemouth in theory have nothing to play for so you just don’t know whether they will take a backseat. Everton can’t afford to let their foot off the gas at any point in this clash, knowing that a win guarantees them Premier League survival. A draw might also be enough to get them over the line with Leeds and Leicester needing to get three points to stand any chance of survival. I have a feeling that Everton will get the job done but they will be made to work for it and I think a stalemate at 7/2 looks like value.

Good Value on Backing The Draw

Leeds vs Tottenham - Draw

I am going for another stalemate in the relegation battle. I think Leeds will be brave but I am not convinced that they have the quality to get the job done. The Mighty Whites have been really disappointing this season, they have not really found their identity and new signings have really not worked. In all it has been a season of failure and I think they need a minor footballing miracle to avoid the drop. As for Spurs the same can be said about their season, it has to be classed as a massive fail. There is still a chance that they won’t have European football next season, and the chances of keeping Harry Kane hang in the balance.

Top Pick For the Match at Elland Road

Leicester City vs West Ham United - Jamie Vardy to score anytime 13/8

Is this the last time we see Jamie Vardy in the Premier League? If it is how fitting would it be to see him on the scoresheet. I have a feeling that he will be find the net at some point during the game, and you can guarantee he will run himself into the ground on Sunday. Whether it will be enough against a West Ham side who now are waiting for a Europa Conference League final remains to be seen.

Manchester United vs Fulham - Fulham or draw 6/4

With the Champions League wrapped up, one Carabao Cup and an FA Cup final to look forward to, you would have to say it’s been a successful first season for Eric Ten Hag. With the final in mind I think that Eric will be very careful with his team, and could also see this game as an opportunity for some fringe players to get some minutes, and also say some farewells. In regards to Fulham I think that Marco Silva will want to come to Old Trafford and give it a real go and give his traveling fans something to sing about on the way home. I can see Fulham taking a draw or more from this one at 6/4.

Southampton vs Liverpool - Fabinho to commit 2+ fouls 8/11

With Southampton the only confirmed side for relegation we wave goodbye at St Mary’s. Liverpool themselves have had a disappointing season only managing to claim a Europa League place for next season and with nothing on the line here I think we could have a flat game. Midfielder Fabinho has been a consistent fouler throughout the season, having committed 51 fouls.
