Tizz Talks: 13/1, 10/1 & 8/1 Premier League Betting Tips

Tizz’s Saturday Premier League bets

The Premier League returns after the International break and we have reached the business end of the season. This Saturday offers seven fixtures in the league and I have picked out three bets that I like the look of.

My first bet is a 13/1 bet builder for the Liverpool vs Manchester City game in the early kick-off. My second bet is an accumulator for the 3pm games and my final bet is a 10/1 bet builder for the Chelsea vs Aston Villa game in the evening.

13/1 Man City vs Liverpool bet builder

Title holders Manchester City will be sweating over the fitness of superstar striker Erling Haaland for Saturday’s early game. Three points are a must for The Citizens in their quest for a seventh Premier League trophy; as they look to chase down Arsenal who have an eight point advantage over them, albeit having played one game more. Liverpool are a massive bogey side for Manchester City and the Sky Blues last outing was their first win against the visitors in six attempts. With Liverpool having won three of the last four encounters Pep will need to get his team selection right. This is a game that Liverpool generally turn up for and the points could not be needed more for the Merseyside club. I won’t be picking a winner from this match but if previous encounters are anything to go by we should expect goals in plenty with 28 goals scored in the last seven meetings between the sides.

My bet pays 13/1 with Paddy Power:

  • Both teams to score
  • Fabinho to be carded
  • Kevin De Bruyne to have a shot on target
  • Cody Gakpo to have a shot on target

Sam's Three Tips For Saturday Matches

Crystal Palace and Leicester will battle it out at Selhurst Park and it’s a six-pointer for both teams with relegation very much in the periphery. Three of the last five meetings between the sides have ended in a draw and I expect that Saturday’s game will be another tight encounter. The Eagles have drawn four of their last five games at home and I think with Roy back in charge they will be looking to shut up shop again here. I think it could be one of those games where both teams end up being frustrated and it ends all even.

League leaders Arsenal will be hoping they can continue their title charge with another three points against relegation threatened Leeds United. The Mighty Whites picked up a vital three points before the International break, a win which lifted them out of the relegation places. I do struggle to see them following that up against The Gunners who are playing some fantastic football under Arteta and are showing no signs of complacency.

Bournemouth host Fulham this weekend and the visitors will be without Serbian striker Aleksander Mitrovic who is serving the first match of his suspension for pushing a referee. The Cherries find themselves in 19th place in desperate need of a win, and will be hoping they can make it back-to-back wins at home after beating Liverpool at The Vitality last time out. The last three meetings between the sides have ended with both teams getting on the score sheet so I will be looking for that trend to continue.

Chelsea vs Aston Villa 10/1 bet builder

Aston Villa will be looking to complete a league double over the Blues on Saturday afternoon. The Villains come into the match in fine form having won three of their last four games in the league. On the road they have also picked up an impressive 13 points from their last six games so they should come into this game with some confidence. As for Graham Potter, three points would do wonders as he looks to revive a car crash season with the club lying in an extremely disappointing 10th place, level on points with Villa. Chelsea need to turn Stamford Bridge into a fortress again but I am not convinced that they will accomplish that before the end of the season. Looking at their run in, they genuinely might struggle to finish higher than their current league position. As for Aston Villa I do think they have improved under Unai Emery and they play with more purpose and identity, as has been backed up by results on the pitch. Ollie Watkins has been in great form with six goals in his last eight league games and I expect him to be a threat again on Saturday.

Match Stats

  • Chelsea have won just four of their last 19 Premier League games.
  • Aston Villa have won three of their last four Premier League games.
  • Aston Villa won the reverse fixture 1-0.
  • Kai Havertz has committed the most fouls in the Premier League. (51)

Team News

Broja and Silva will miss out because of injury. Kai Havertz should be in line to play having recovered from illness. Chelsea have further doubts over the fitness of Wesley Fofana, Reece James, Cesar Azpilicueta, Mason Mount, Edouard Mendy, Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

  • Both teams to score
  • Kai Havertz to commit 2+ fouls
  • Kalidou Koulibaly to be carded
