Tizz Talks: 15/1, 9/1 & 6/1 Premier League Betting Tips

We have a packed out Saturday of Premier League action this Easter weekend with seven games in the pipeline. In the early game we have Manchester United vs Everton at Old Trafford for which I have picked out a 15/1 bet builder. In the evening game we have bottom placed Southampton hosting the reigning champions Manchester City and I have a 9/1 bet builder for that game. And for the 3pm games I have picked out a 6/1 treble with Paddy Power!

Manchester United vs Everton bet builder 15/1

The early game this week sees top-four hopefuls Manchester United host strugglers Everton at Old Trafford in a game both teams can ill afford to lose. The Toffees are looking to end a run of 10 away games without a win whereas Manchester United are looking to extend their 13 game unbeaten run at home in the league. Marcus Rashford bagged his 15th Premier League goal of the campaign last time out and looks like the Red Devils most likely candidate to find the net again here. Michael Keane committed the foul that gifted Spurs a penalty on Monday night before equalizing with a 30-yard screamer. Everton will spend large parts of this game under the cosh and will have to endure serious pressure from Ten Hag’s side. With that in mind I will be backing defender James Tarkowski to receive a card at some point during the match.

15/1 Bet with Paddy Power

  • Michael Keane to commit a foul
  • Marcus Rashford to score anytime
  • James Tarkowski to be carded

Match Stats

  • All of Manchester United’s last three games have produced under three goals.
  • Everton have won just one of their last six Premier League games.
  • Everton have not won on the road in their last 10 Premier League outings.
  • Manchester United are unbeaten in their last 13 Premier League outings, winning on 10 occasions.

Team News

Donny van de Beek, Christian Eriksen, Tom Heaton and Alejandro Garnacho will all be sidelined through injury. Anthony Martial is a doubt for the hosts and Casemiro misses out through suspension.

Andros Townsend again misses out with injury and Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a doubt. Abdoulaye Doucoure serves the first of a three-match ban.

Southampton vs Manchester City bet builder 9/1 bet builder

In the evening slot we have bottom-placed Southampton who are looking to make it back-to-back wins against Manchester City, having knocked them out of the Carabao Cup in January. That 2-0 win at St Mary’s should give the home side a little bit of confidence and they are going to need every ounce of that to get them over the line here if their recent league form is anything to go by. The Saints have won just three of their last 18 games in the division so it is no surprise to see them propping up the table. They have had some league success against the reigning champions though in recent times picking up two draws in their last three meetings, losing the other game. Three points is the only outcome that will please Pep Guardiola and the visiting fans in their pursuit for a seventh Premier League title. I fancy City to win this game but I won’t back them at 1/5 as I don’t like betting on odds as short as that. I imagine that Southampton will be playing for a draw here and that City will have times in the game where they struggle to break down their opponents, but still putting them under immense pressure.

9/1 bet with Paddy Power

  • James Ward-Prowse to be carded
  • Ilkay Gundogan to have a shot on target
  • Over 5.5 Man City corners

3pm Treble- Pays 6/1 with William Hill

  • Bournemouth to win or draw vs Leicester
  • Newcastle to win vs Brentford
  • Aston Villa to win vs Nottm Forest

Bournemouth or draw evens (vs Leicester)

Managerless Leicester City host relegation rivals Bournemouth at The King Power this weekend in a must win game for both sides. The Foxes enter the game in dismal form having taken just one point from their last six games, ultimately the final nail in the coffin for Brendan Rodgers. As for Bournemouth they are picking up enough wins at the moment to suggest that they can fight their way out of their current predicament. They have won three of their last seven games and nearly took three points off Arsenal during this period. I need to put a disclaimer on this bet as Bournemouth have actually lost eight of their last nine games on the road, but I think they might sense blood here.

Newcastle win 21/20 (vs Brentford)

Newcastle are a joy to watch at the moment and Eddie Howe looks like he is going to bring Champions League football back to the North East. They face a tough test away at Brentford this weekend but from what we have seen in recent showings they will not be phased at the prospect. The Magpies are on a four game winning streak and their last two displays have been extremely impressive, beating West Ham away 5-1 and also beating Manchester United 2-0. It wasn’t just the score lines that have been impressive, it is the manner in which they have done it, dominating in both games, it could have easily been 5-0 against the Red Devils. Using Manchester United as a measuring stick Brentford were beaten by them 1-0 in their last outing so I expect Newcastle will be too strong on Saturday. The Magpies also trounced Brentford 5-1 the last time the sides met.

Aston Villa win 8/13 (vs Nottingham Forest)

Aston Villa are flying right now with 16 points taken from their last six games. A lot of credit needs to be given to Unai Emery for turning the clubs fortunes around and also getting the best out of England striker Ollie Watkins who now has 8 goals in his last 10 league games. As for Forest they are in freefall at the moment having seemingly got themselves into a comfortable position in the league. They are without a win in eight league games and have lost all of their last four on the road. Steve Cooper was given the vote of confidence from the board midweek but he will still be feeling the pressure to get a win soon. I think this will be a stretch too far for the visitors given the current form of the hosts and I expect to see another three points go to the Villains.
