Judging by the reaction it has caused on social media, this could potentially break the internet.
Plus, at the recent FIFA Best awards, Ronaldo scooped the top prize. That alone would suggest he was in for the big one being the prestigious Ballon d’Or.
Ronaldo also helped Real Madrid win both La Liga and the Champions League last season. Most people would expect Ronaldo to win this year’s 2017 Ballon d’Or as well.

But, according to a photo of a alleged future edition of France Football magazine, Messi has won the award.
We’re unsure as to whether this is a fake photo or not — but time will tell.
