Arsenal plot move to pull off amazing £125m double signing within the next 36 hours

Arsenal are desperately in need of new signings before the summer transfer window closes tomorrow at 11:00pm BST. Arsene Wenger’s squad were dismantled this past weekend at Anfield, and are now linked to adding Raheem Sterling and Marco Asensio to the Emirates.

The Gunners are on the verge of selling Alexis Sanchez for a large sum, and could land Raheem Sterling in the process. The England international is valued around £50m and believed to be a top-quality replacement.

The Manchester City winger is reportedly open to returning to London, having spent his youth career at QPR. The 22-year-old scored the winner in the Citizens 2-1 victory, and is gaining support from his manager Pep Guardiola.

The Gunners could also trigger Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio £75million buyout clause, adding the young star to the Emirates, according to the Express.

The north London club are preparing an offer for the 21-year-old, who has been stellar at Madrid. Asensio netted a brace against Valencia, hitting two magnificent goals in their 2-2 draw at the Bernabéu.

The Spaniard is looking for guarantees regarding minutes, as he seeks a new deal. Many top European clubs are eager to sign the rising star after a series of outstanding performances, however, Asensio hopes to be part of Real’s future.

He is expected to continue to earn more minutes with Cristiano Ronaldo sidelined due to a suspension, and could sign a new deal with the Spanish giants which could keep him at the club for many years.

Arsenal suffered a terrible 2016-17 campaign, missing out on a top four spot and the Champions League. While they may be willing to splash some cash for Asensio, they don’t appear to be the most attractive destination right now.
