New Champions League favourites & more betting odds revealed after quarter-final stage

The betting odds for the 2023/24 Champions League have seen a major shake-up after Wednesday evening’s quarter-final action.

Manchester City began the week as favourites to go on and win the competition for a second successive campaign but after losing to Real Madrid on penalties, it is the Spanish giants who are now 7/5 favourites to lift the trophy.

Manchester City came away with a 3-3 draw in the Spanish capital last week, leaving them as favourites to beat Real Madrid in the reverse fixture and advance to the semi-final phase this week.

However, despite getting the better of Carlo Ancelotti’s men for much of the 120 minutes in Manchester, the Sky Blues lost on penalties. Madrid now travel to Bayern Munich on April 30 for their first semi-final fixture of the season and are 17/10 to pick up the win.

The winner of the semi-final between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid will face Borussia Dortmund or PSG in the competition’s showpiece on June 1.

Dortmund saw off Atletico Madrid by five goals to four over two legs in the quarter-finals, while PSG beat a 10-man Barcelona 4-1 on Tuesday to book their place in the last four. PSG are 6/4 favourites to beat BVB in their first-leg encounter on April 29.
