Zinedine Zidane Gives Approval For Real Madrid's Pursuit Of Superstar

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has given the green light for the club’s pursuit of Bayern Munich’s superstar striker Robert Lewandowski this summer.

Lewandowski, 29, has been reportedly unhappy in Bavaria for quite some time, and there is a suggestion that his club could be willing to let him go for around €100million at the end of the season.

Florentino Perez, the Real Madrid president, is an open admirer of the Polish hitman, who has arguably developed into the best striker on the planet since joining Bayern from Borussia Dortmund in 2014. The respect is mutual, too, meaning Lewandowski could switch to the Santiago Bernabeu with Zidane’s blessing.

Chelsea and Manchester United have been credited with an interest, but Real’s need for a striker, with Karim Benzema’s form dropping severely this season, puts them in prime position to broker a deal.
