That was India's second Cricket World Cup title, but Australia bounced back to confirm their status as the top side throughout the tournament's history by extending their record of wins to five. The West Indies won the first two editions of the Cricket World Cup, but have endured a barren spell since the 1970s, while Pakistan and Sri Lanka enjoyed one-off successes in the 1990s and England are yet to taste victory. The Outright Betting market proved to be a good guide as eventual winners Australia were firm favourites to extend their Cricket World Cup record in the build up. Bookmakers were torn between South Africa and India for second favourite, though beaten finalists New Zealand were alongside Sri Lanka and England as next best in the betting, while everyone else was considered to have only an outside chance of success at double-figure odds or more. There were of course plenty of betting opportunites on other pre-tournament markets such as top run scoreer and top wicket taker, then once the tournament got underway match betting and other markets took centre stage and we hope that Freebets.com helped you to make the most of your betting for the 2015 Cricket World Cup.You should follow us on Twitter to stay updated on any free bet offers, money back specials and enhanced odds promotions for cricket.
