Sutton’s Acca: 16/1 EFL Bet – Saturday 3rd September

Gab landed a 40/1 winner last week and is back for more this Saturday

A tremendous shout from Gab Sutton last weekend, who bagged us a huge 40/1 winning EFL acca, picking out five winning sides. This weekend he’s back, the odds are lower, but again he’s got five football teams from the EFL to follow.

Check out Gab’s 16/1 EFL acca for this Saturday as he looks for two winners in a row.

Luton to beat Wigan – 21/20

Sheffield United are considered one of the top teams in the division, and Luton not only got a point against them last time out, but were difficult to live with for large portions of that game.

The Hatters played with a real drive and intensity, while the physicality of Elijah Adebayo and especially Carlton Morris proved a real handful for the Blades.

If Nathan Jones’ side can repeat that against Wigan, they have a great chance of recording a third league victory of the campaign, and moving into the top half in the process.

Wigan are a very hardworking side with plenty of battling qualities, but may fall short at Kenilworth Road.

Norwich to beat Coventry – 7/10

After a tough start to the campaign, Norwich have won four league games on the bounce, soaring to second in the Championship.

The Canaries were unlucky not to take more than one point from their first three games, perhaps fortuitous in the winning streak, and September may indicate where they are likely to level out at.

The Norfolk outfit have, on early evidence, some of the best individuals at this level like Andrew Omobamidele in defence, Marcelino Nunez in midfield and Josh Sargeant in attack.

Norwich are still to refine bits and pieces if they are to be held to top two standards, but they should have more than enough in their armoury to beat Coventry, who could struggle for sharpness after having played just three league games so far due to postponements.

Sheffield Wednesday to beat Barnsley – 6/10

Sheffield Wednesday thrashed Forest Green 5-0 last time out, furthering their promotion credentials.

Since then, the Owls have added Alex Mighten to their ranks, on loan from Nottingham Forest.

Mighten offers something different to the Wednesday squad in terms of an injection of pace, and his direct running will open games up for them when required, as well as some Championship experience.

South Yorkshire neighbours Barnsley, also recently relegated from the second tier, lost Callum Styles to Millwall on deadline day and were unable to bring in a striker when some would have argued they needed two.

Michael Duff is an excellent manager but he hasn’t been backed with the resources he needs, and that could hold Tarn back in their attempts to join Wednesday in the promotion shake-up.

Salford to beat Crawley – 8/11

Salford bolstered their squad with three signings on Deadline Day, including Ethan Galbraith on loan from Manchester United.

The dynamic creator, a number eight by trade who can also fill in at right-back, was Doncaster’s shining light in the first half of their League One relegation campaign last season, so to get him for League Two was a real coup.

The Ammies have two flying wing-backs in Luke Bolton and Ibou Touray who can do plenty of damage, and while the loss of Brandon Thomas-Asante to West Brom is a blow, they have more than enough quality in the mix and so much of their attacking play was down to the fluency of their moves, which comes down to cohesion, synergy and quality coaching.

Crawley, meanwhile, have had a tough start with two points from six games and while performances have been better than results suggest in some of them, injuries haven’t helped and Kevin Betsy’s side are already playing catch-up.

Stockport to beat Wimbledon – 3/4

Stockport have not had exactly the start they wanted to the campaign, having been billed as one of the favourites for promotion from this level in their first season in it in 12 years.

Perhaps the expectations from outside are higher than they are internally, nonetheless there have been on paper statement summer signings like Fraser Horsfall, Connor Lemonhaigh-Evans and Callum Camps.

Not all of those players have hit the ground running, nor have last season’s title-winners, but Dave Challinor is an excellent manager who gets his teams playing at a high intensity, and always looking for positive, forward passes.

If they can do those two things against Wimbledon, whilst ironing out the errors that have troubled them thus far, they should justify odds-on quotes and begin to climb the table.

The Dons have a great first XI but not much depth beyond that, which may be partly why they have dropped five points from winning positions.
