Tizz Talks: 8/1 & 9/1 Premier League Betting Tips

Saturday Premier League Tips

We are truly reaching crunch point in the Premier League and this Saturday sees five games go ahead. For the 12:30pm fixture we can look forward to a crucial clash where strugglers Leeds United travel to Fulham, who won convincingly away at Everton last weekend. I have picked out an 8/1 bet builder for this intriguing tie. Following on from that I have picked out a 19/2 treble from the 3pm games, all of which are with Paddy Power.

Fulham vs Leeds United

Let it be known that prior to last week’s win against Everton I had been quoted saying that Fulham were ‘on the beach’ for a number of weeks. Seemingly with nothing to play for, knowing that they were safe and also that European football was no longer in their grasp. Well something clicked last week and what I saw was a team playing for a bit of personal pride, ending a run of five straight defeats. It wouldn’t surprise me if Marco Silva had torn into his players a bit during the week beforehand about some of their lackluster displays, and making sure his players weren’t getting too comfortable. The last thing you want is to accept a losing mentality in the Premier League, regardless of your league position. A losing mentality is exactly where Leeds United are finding themselves right now, with two straight defeats and conceding 11 goals in the process against Crystal Palace and Liverpool. That swing in goal difference could prove costly for Javi Gracia’s side who hover just two points above the relegation zone with seven games remaining. The Cottagers have won each of the last two encounters between the sides including knocking Leeds out of the FA Cup here on the last day of February. Sadly for Leeds fans I can see a similar outcome this weekend with Leeds having struggled in the capital in recent years.

  • Leeds have conceded at least two goals in five of their last six Premier League games.
  • Fulham have won the previous two head-to-head encounters.

Team News

Fulham will be without the suspended Aleksandar Mitrovic. They will also be without Dan James, Layvin Kurzuwa and Neeskens Kebano through injury. Leeds United will be without Tyler Adams and Stuart Dallas while Patrick Bamford is a doubt for the clash.

Sam Tizzle's Top Selections For Saturday Matches

Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest - (Mohamed Salah to score anytime 4/5)

Unsurprisingly Liverpool enter this game as the strong favourites at Anfield and at a price of 1/7 to win you know it is going to be difficult to pick out the value in this one. I think the value is in the goalscorer markets where I will be backing Mohamed Salah to find the net. The Egyptian King is widely regarded to be having a poor season, but that is only by the high standards that we have come to expect. Salah still has 15 Premier League goals to his name this campaign, with six goals in his last seven league games he is the main reason that The Reds still have an outside chance of European football next season.

Crystal Palace vs Everton - Crystal Palace to win 11/10

Roy Hodgson has turned The Eagles around, before his appointment they had gone 12 games without a win. Palace have since won all three of their games under Roy and I have a strong feeling that they will connect four on Saturday. Sean Dyche doesn’t appear to be getting a tune out of this Everton squad, with just two points taken from their last four league games. The majority of The Toffees points come from games at Goodison and they have picked up just four points from their last 11 league games.

Brentford vs Aston Villa - Aston Villa to win 9/5

For me Aston Villa are a huge price this weekend considering their form under Unai Emery. Only Arsenal and Manchester City have taken more points than Villa since Emery’s appointment, a remarkable stat considering how the Villains had been performing under Steven Gerrard. Brentford are the bookies favourites in this match, surprising perhaps when you consider they have lost their last three games in the league and are also five games without a win. Of course the bookies have priced it this way because of what they class as a home advantage for The Bees, but I can’t look past five wins on the spin for the Midlands side and seven wins from their last eight league games.
