Senegal will begin their World Cup campaign in earnest when they lock horns with the Netherlands in Group A on Monday afternoon.

The African Cup of Nations champions, who exited after the group stages four years ago in Russia, were dealt untimely news after learning Sadio Mane will miss the World Cup through a thigh injury.

Nevertheless, they will be hoping to recreate their fairytale run of 2002 when they reached the quarter-finals.
