World Cup Group F Odds
Group F has the potential to make for compelling viewing, considering it contains Belgium and Croatia. Let’s give you the lowdown on this group by assessing the odds of each team from favourites through to rank outsiders.
With 13 World Cup appearances to their name, Belgium has been a near ever-present fixture at football’s biggest international tournament.
Robert Martinez’s charges usually have little issues with getting out of the group stages and they are the standout team in Group F. Paddy Power is pricing the Red Devils at a very short looking 1/2 to qualify for the last 16 as group winners which underlines their likely superiority.
Croatia has the potential to be the dark horse once again, and if 2018, is anything to go by, then they could be a serious threat.
At this moment, Croatia is priced at 11/4 with Paddy Power to emerge as Group F winners, which could be worth following up on if you like betting on this outright market.
Despite excelling in qualifying where they amassed 18 points from a maximum of 18, Group F could be tough going for Morocco.
Although this will be their sixth appearance at a World Cup Finals, Morocco has generally been sent home packing in the group stages. If you fancy them to defy this trend, then you can get an intriguing price of 12/1 with William Hill to book their place in the last 16 as Group F winners.
With minimal World Cup experience to call upon, Canada is something of an unknown quantity, so it will be fascinating to see how they get on.
But if you fancy them to shake things up a little and top Group F, then William Hill is serving up a tempting looking price of 12/1 if you fancy exploring further.
Group F World Cup 2022 Team Profiles
It’s now time to cast an eye over the four representatives in Group F, and see what each country brings to the party.
Blessed with a wealth of attacking talent, Belgium is among the usual suspects to do well at the World Cup. All eyes will be on Kevin De Bruyne, who enjoyed an exceptional season with Manchester City. While Eden Hazard struggled to nail down a starting spot at Real Madrid last term, he’s the sort of player that could come alive on the big stage.
Although they came up short four years ago when they finished third, Belgium should be pushing to get to a maiden final.
The midfield is packed with talent and Luka Modric is the standout player. At 36, this could be Modric’s last World Cup, but the diminutive Real Madrid star can transform any game, and he has an eye for goal.
Meanwhile, Mateo Kovacic is capable of marshalling things well in the middle of the park and he will act as a good shield for the defence. In 2018, they reached the Final, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them go deep once again.
There are a few recognisable names who are likely to make the final cut for the Morocco World Cup squad, including defender Achraf Hakimi and striker Sofiane Boufal.
Although they will look to challenge Croatia for the runners-up spot, an early elimination could be feasible.
Although there is plenty of pace in this Canada squad, Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies and Lille striker Jonathan David will be instrumental.
However, their lack of World Cup experience could count against them, and Canada could crash out in the group stages.
World Cup Group F Predictions
Belgium is usually free-scoring under Martinez, and if they play with the shackles off, they could be the ones to watch at the World Cup.
This is supposedly a Golden Generation of talent, and a World Cup Final appearance could well be feasible. William Hill is pricing Belgium at 11/2 to reach the World Cup Final.
