Coral Cup (2.30pm, Wednesday)
Arguably one of the trickiest puzzles to solve at the Cheltenham Festival and one which Ed has been trying to solve for about three weeks!
Ed thinks we have a rightful favourite in the lightly-raced Grand Roi (8/1 with bet365*) who is an unexposed horse that will love the ground and has major claims.
At bigger odds Ed likes the look of the Olly Murphy-trained Thomas Darby (12/1 with Paddy Power*) who should give each-way backers a really good run for their money and is Ed’s pick here.
Paddy Power and Betfair are both offering 7 paying places on this race.
Ed went on to say “Thomas Darby’s best form has come when ground conditions are drying up. Yes, he has a big weight but has some very good form at Prestbury Park.”
He has won at Cheltenham before and also finished second in the Supreme Novices here a couple of seasons ago.
