Kim Muir Challenge Cup (4.50pm, Thursday)
The finale on Day 3 is the Kim Muir Challenge Cup which this year of course will feature professional jockeys along with the amateurs.
Ed is going for two horses at big odds in this one. The first is Morning Vicar, another of Nicky Henderson’s runners with Nico De Boinville on board. Ed says “I do think that the penny is starting to drop with this one and the ground is in his favour.”
His second pick is a horse he flagged up at 33/1 in the Antepost Armchair and Ed is not deserting it today as an each way bet. Trained by Warren Greatrex the horse is Bob Mahler (22/1 Paddy Power)
Ed stated “Rewind the clock twelve months, he finished third in this contest, he’s been a little bit ‘in and out’ this season but this has been the target all year.” In summing up Ed said “I think he’s a big player at a big price”
