In the Full time Result market, the predictions heavily favour Manchester City. With only 12% of punters suggesting that this one will end up as a draw.

A marginal increase in people seeing Klopp’s side do the job against Pep’s men, with 21% of those customers backing Liverpool. It’s 67% dominance for support in Manchester City to walk away winners from this one at full time.

It’s incredibly tight in the Correct Score markets at bet365, as the popular support for City seems to continue, but no as the top pick in this area.

The most popular pick sees a 2-2 scoreline having the support of 14% of the betting. However, a 3-1 win for Man City has 11.5% of the punters backing, with a 2-1 in favour of City getting 11.2% of the picks.

With City seeming to be the popular backing in both Full Time Result and Correct Score markets, Earling Haaland is only second favourite in the First Goalscorer markets with 18.4%.

The most popular player backed in the first scorer market is Mohamed Salah with 39.4%, and his teammate Darwin Nunez third favourite with 10.8% of the picks.

Manchester City v Liverpool Bet Builder

Over 3 Goals - 6/5

Alexis Mac Allister to be Booked - 5/2

Jeremy Doku - Over 0.5 Assists - 3/1

Over 3 Goals - 6/5

Manchester City’s clashes with Liverpool rarely disappoint and nine of the last 11 meetings between the rivals have featured over 3.5 goals.

City thumped the Reds 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium in April, despite the absence of Erling Haaland, and the superstar striker is expected to be fit for Saturday’s rematch despite suffering an ankle problem while on international duty with Norway.

City are the leading scorers in this season’s Premier League with 32 goals in 12 games and their last three results were a 3-0 derby win at Manchester United, a 6-1 rout of Bournemouth at the Etihad and a 4-4 draw at Chelsea.

Liverpool have scored at least twice in nine of their last 11 league games and Klopp’s men are averaging 18.7 shots per game in all competitions this term.

Alexis Mac Allister to be Booked - 5/2

2022 World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister could complete a memorable double this week, having helped Argentina beat Brazil 1-0 at the Maracana in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday.

Mac Allister may well be feeling a little jaded after his return from South America but Liverpool are short of defensive-midfield options so he should have a vital role to play at the Etihad.

He missed this month’s home win over Brentford due to suspension, having received five yellow cards in his first 11 league appearances for the Reds, and he was also sent off on his Anfield debut against Bournemouth.

That red card was later rescinded but Mac Allister has been booked in four of Liverpool’s six away league games and that trend may well continue at City.

Jeremy Doku - Over 0.5 Assists - 3/1

Kevin De Bruyne, the Premier League’s most prolific assist-maker in recent seasons, remains sidelined so Manchester City are looking to another Belgium international for creative inspiration.

Winger Jeremy Doku has made an impressive start to his career in England and he had a day out in the Citizens last home game against Bournemouth, setting up four of his side’s six goals.

Doku also claimed an assist for Julian Alvarez’s opener in the home win over Brighton and he could cause problems for Liverpool full-backs Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kostas Tsimikas this weekend.

Belgium’s 5-0 rout of Azerbaijan in Euro 2024 qualifying on Sunday was bookended by Doku assists for Romelu Lukaku and Leandro Trossard and the flying winger looks a nice price to set up a goal against Liverpool.
