Champion Hurdle, (3.05pm Tuesday)
Peter Scudamore, who has won this race twice himself, explains the nature of race riding at Cheltenham and especially in this high speed 2-mile hurdle where fast, fluent jumping is a must.
As for selections for this year’s Champion Hurdle, Scu is sweet on the chances of Henry de Bromhead’s unbeaten Honeysuckle at 5/2 with race sponsors Unibet.
Jack & Ed question the value of Goshen’s price (4/1 with BetVictor), who can blow hot and cold but his form is sacking up. He was well clear in last year’s Triumph Hurdle when unseating at the last.
Ed says that he can’t work out last year’s winner Epatante (7/2 bet365*) and join Scu in the Honeysuckle camp but would said he would have some reservations if the ground got lively.
Melissa is also unsure about Goshen’s chances and thinks that Abacadabras could be the value for the Irish and could run a big race. He is on offer at 7/1 with bet365*
