Harry Kane Betting Odds

Kane will once again lead the line for Gareth Southgate’s men at Euro 2020 and he will be integral to England’s hopes as they head into the tournament.

England have a wealth of attacking talent as they go in search of their first major tournament win since 1966 but it all revolves around their brilliant captain.

Euro 2020 Betting Odds

England are 5/1 with bet365* to win Euro 2020 and following his golden boot win at the 2018 World Cup, Harry Kane will be one of the favourites to win the trophy once again at Euro 2020.

Kane is currently the 6/1 favourite with BetVictor to win the Golden Boot at the tournament but will we see him drop into a slightly deeper role to be more of a creative force as he has done for Tottenham this season?

Early Career

Harry Kane was picked up by his boyhood club Tottenham at the age of 11 following spells as a schoolboy at Arsenal and Watford. His progress was recognized by England who picked him for the first time at Under 17 level. Despite being central to Spurs’s plans going forward, Kane was loaned out to clubs in the English football league system in an attempt to give him more first team football experience.

Loan Spells

He played for Leyton Orient (2011), Millwall (2012), Norwich City (2012/3) and Leicester City (2013) scoring 16 goals in 56 appearances across all of the clubs he represented.

In 2014, Kane was handed his big break at Tottenham where he broke into the first team with a handful of substitute appearances as well as starting spots in the UEFA Europa League. Such was Kane’s impact that by the 2014-15 season he was Spurs’s first choice striker – a role he has played for both club and country ever since. His deadly finishing as well as ability to hold the ball up has made him a huge asset for both Tottenham and England and he has gone on to register 130 Premier League goals in just 186 appearances in England’s top flight. In addition to his Premier League exploits, Kane has performed well for Spurs in the Champions League too – with his 26 goals in 52 games helping Spurs get to the final of the competition in the 2018/19 season.

International Career

Arguably the highlight of Kane’s career was the winning of the Golden Boot at the 2018 FIFA World Cup where his 6 goals lead England to their first World Cup semi-final in 28 years. Kane has registered 28 goals for England in 43 appearances thus far – including 7 goals in their Euro 2020 qualification campaign.
