Euro 2020 Games to be Played at the Johan Cruijff Arena

There will be 4 Euro 2020 matches at the Johan Cruijff Arena, Amsterdam. Three Euro 2020 Group C games will be played in the Dutch capital as well as one round of 16 knockout match:-

Sunday, 13 June – Group C: Netherlands v Ukraine (20:00, local time)
Thursday, 17 June – Group C: Netherlands v Austria (20:00, local time)
Monday, 21 June – Group C: North Macedonia v Netherlands (17:00, local time)

Saturday 26 June – Round of 16 (2nd place Group A vs 2nd place Group B) (17:00, local time)

Who Will Play at the Johan Cruijff Arena

All of the Euro 2020 Group C games will be shared between the Johan Cruijff Arena, Amsterdam and the National Arena, Bucharest.

The Netherlands had little trouble qualifying for Euro 2020 and in doing so have the real advantage of playing all three of their Group C matches at the Johan Cruijff Arena, Amsterdam.

Romania lost out in the playoffs with North Macedonia eventually coming through to book their place in their first ever major tournament and find themselves in Group C along with Ukraine and Austria who are already looking forward to their trip to Holland this summer.

The Amsterdam stadium will also host a Last 16 match between the 2nd placed teams in Group A & Group B.

About the Johan Cruijff Arena

The Johan Cruijff Arena, Amsterdam was built in 1996 and was originally named the Amsterdam ArenA.

The 53,748 stadium is home to Dutch giants Ajax and is named after former Dutch superstar Johan Cruijff who passed away in 2016.

In 1998 the stadium hosted the Champions League final and in 2013 the Europa League final. The stadium was also one of the host venues  for the Euro 2000 Championships.
